That's yet another reason to get married first--prevents this kind of foolishness. Trust and believe little miss thang has put some long hard thought into her place and role (as well as that of her mother) to come up with that argument. Daughter is basically saying she had a defined identity and relationship to him as "daughter" while mama was (just) a "girlfriend". Titles MATTER. I hope this mama puts her financial affairs in order and makes sure she gets it in writing how she will be cared for in the event that she can't care for herself.
